After Oct. 18, student registration is $125. You can register here. For on-site registration, see the registration desk.

Schedule

The program schedule, including your presentation time slot and room, can be found on the schedule section on this website (log into the event website then click "Sessions I am speaking/moderating at" to see your presentations). Please note that individual talks may be listed with others from the same session. You can also search this draft schedule PDF for your name or presentation.

Poster dimensions

The recommended poster size is 48 inches by 36 inches. The maximum horizontal length is 48 inches. There is no maximum vertical length. If your poster exceeds the dimensions, it may not be displayed.

Magnets will be provided to attach posters to wall spaces. Your poster must not be mounted on a foam board because the magnets will not hold it.

Poster set-up time

You should set up your poster in the morning on Day 1, Tuesday, Nov. 19. Information regarding your poster location will be available at the registration desk.

You must be near your poster during the poster reception from 5:15-7 p.m. on Tuesday to discuss your poster with symposium attendees. You must take your poster down no later than the 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, or it will be thrown away or recycled.

Mike deGruy Bays and Bayous Symposium Student Presentation Awards

If you indicated that you wanted to be considered for a student award, your presentation will be entered in the competition and judged using certain poster criteria.

Multiple judges will evaluate each participating student's poster presentation, and students with the highest scores will be named winners in first ($300), second ($200) and third ($100) places. Winners will be announced within a week of the close of the symposium.
